SYN-TAC ROLLER TIPS

Rest your SYN-TAC blanket often. Keep spare SYN-TAC blankets on hand. If the surface is not cut or broken but there are low spots, try soaking the blanket overnight in water. Hang it up for a thorough drying before using it again. The low spots are gone.

A safe and easy way to remove calcium carbonate glaze from your rollers: Wash all ink from the rollers with X75-122 Color Out Step One followed with X75-123 Color Out Step Two. Disengage the clean-up attachment and pour CMC111 Deglazer Gel over the rollers. Let the press run for five to ten minutes, adding more of the CMC111 Deglazer Gel as needed. Engage the clean-up attachment to remove all of the CMC111 Deglazer Gel. Remember: the amount of CMC111 Deglazer Gel needed will depend on the amount of alkaline build-up. The alkaline will neutralize the CMC111 Deglazer Gel as the calcium carbonate is dissolved.
3M Sleeves

Never use any solvent to clean a 3M sleeve. If cleaning is necessary––though it’s better to use a new sleeve––use only plain water or fountain solution.

SAMPLE OF COLOR When you run a color job and have ink left over, save a sample of the printed color. Paste or tape it on the can of unused ink. It will give you a quick answer to the shade of the contents.
Water Control on Fountain Roller A smooth aluminum fountain roll will give better water control and will be easier to clean. If your smooth roll picks up ink, clean it with plate cleaner or straight etch. Wipe it dry, apply plate gum, and wipe it dry again. Since the fountain solution dissolves the thin film of gum, the fountain roll is now ready to use.

ALL PRINT WORKS CHEMICALS ARE MADE TO WORK WITH OIL BASE AND RUBBER BASE INKS.
