CRESTLINE® ALTRA Series Dampener
Designed for small offset presses, the Crestline ® Continuous Feed Dampener provides instant ink and water balance, runs without alcohol, and is segregated from the ink train to prevent moisture from migrating back into the ink fountain. Installation can be done in just a few hours, without altering the press, and operator training can be achieved in less than an hour.

The Crestline® Altra Series delivers instant ink and water balance without waiting for molletons to dampen. It operates without alcohol, reduces paper waste and delivers incredibly sharp, bright color with less ink. The Altra features two oscillation nips to improve the milling of ink and water. This unique feature provides a smoother, more uniform film of water across the plate and the ability to run drier. Altra Series can be used with an existing recirculation system or the Waterboy Plus.

The Altra gives the operator the flexibility of adjusting the moisture, while running, to meet each job’s specific needs. Altra dampeners have no end seals to wear out or replace. Color changes and end of the day cleanup are automatic because the dampener cleans up with the ink train. The Altra Series retains all the existing ink rollers for maximum inking power & efficiency.

Installation can be done quickly without altering the press. Typically, a four color press can be converted in under two days and one or two color presses can be converted and printing the same day.
